MY SERVICES
FIELD BOUNDARIES
Short or long, any field boundary can be laid. I have expertise in 3 different hedge laying styles and will advise on the most suitable style for the type of hedge and your needs. All of my work will satisfy the requirements of the SFI and CS hedge laying schemes from the Rural Payments Agency. I can also offer a consultation service and apply for hedge laying grants, identifying suitability of hedges and the best hedge laying grant elements to apply for.

For complete boundary maintenance, I work closely with a small number of contractors for hedgebank restoration, ditching, fencing and hedge planting.

We also work with tree shears for the very toughest of hedges.
GARDEN HEDGES
Garden hedges that become too tall or wide can be laid to rejuvenate and bring them back to a manageable size. With expertise in 3 different hedge laying styles, I can recommend a style that will best suit the hedge, maintain privacy and create a feature in the garden.
ABOUT ME
I've been a professional hedge layer since 2005 and competing in hedge laying matches since 2011. Starting in the intermediate classes I quickly progressed to the Open (the highest class). I am 3 times National Champion (Devon class), Blackdown Hills Champion, 4 times Cotley Hunt Champion, 2 times Devon Rural Skills Champion. I am 2 times Wrington & Burrington Open Champion (North Somerset style) and in 2023 won the Champions Class.

In recent years, I have taken on a couple of trainee hedge layers who share my principles of high quality workmanship and attention to detail. They are now excellent cutters in their own right and together we are an efficient, cost effective team delivering high quality hedge laying.
